Beer is like cars, every year new models come out, even though not many people may be aware of it. But beer connoisseurs around the world eagerly expect the new batch of brew in order to delight their taste buds. Here are some of the best beers for 2011.
Captain Lawrence 5 Years Later Ale is a deep dark beer brewed to celebrate the fifth anniversary of Captain Lawrence Brewing Co. in Pleasantville, New York. New Belgium Le Terroir is a dry-hopped sour ale matured in wooden barrels. Goose Island Big John is an imperial stout brewed with cacao nibs, bottled in twenty two ounce bottles with an eleven point five alcohol content.
In the canned beer department there are also a few choice brews, such as the Porkslap Pale Ale flavored with a spot of ginger; the Fat Tire Amber Ale with a hint of sweet caramel; the CynicAle, a light and crisp Belgian beer; and the Simpler Times Lager, lightly malty with a twist of bitter humulus lupulus.
These are just a few outstanding examples, but there is still a great, wide variety of innovative brews, so regardless of how selective a taste is, there is surely something to please everybody out there.
